1) Is there a cost to registration?
No.
2) Can non-speakers attend? Can faculty attend?
We encourage attendance from everyone interested. Speakers and non-speakers can register here by 11:59 PM midnight on 28-Aug.
3) Will all talks be for 3-minutes only?
Yes.
4) Are there any invited talks?
No.
5) How do we prepare for presentations?
We suggest that you first prepare a script of around 500 words since the talk is only for 3-minutes. Get feedback from your friends and adviser/mentors. Do not focus on details but on explaining the concept in a clear and engaging manner. Do not hesitate to use analogies and examples (and humour) with creative visuals to illustrate your work. We plan to hold a couple of coaching sessions to help you improve your script as well as make presentations. More details will be sent to selected students in July.
6) Are there some examples of three minute talks?
